Wonder -- One of the most powerful moods of life. Wonder occurs when we are fully accepting and embracing of the uncertainty that life brings. Each moment offers an opportunity to learn something new about our world and our self. It is expansive yet safe; seemingly a paradox given that wonder is rooted in uncertainty. Those in Wonder are curious of all around them. Wonder is often paired with the mood of Gratitude. It is the opposite, in a sense, of Anxiety. (Taken 14 June 2004)

Anxiety (Basic Mood of Life) -- Anxiety often takes us when we are uncertain. This basic mood of life is depicted here as a web of confusion that seems impenetrable. Yet there is light present if we choose to look for it and what may seem at first uncertain and dangerous can be transformed into an opportunity to engage in curious learning and shift to a mood of Wonder. Peace and Acceptance -- The mood of Peace (or Acceptance) is one of the strongest from which to plan action. Only when we accept the unchangeable for what it is are we able to take a step sideways and move around it. Here can be seen a darker turmoil surrounded by a moving and restrictive boundary. In moving through the boundary of "no, it should this way" we find peace. (Taken 14 June 2004)

Resentment -- So closely related to anger, Resentment is triggered as a mood whenever we don't like what we see. Our internal conversation says, "This is wrong. It should be otherwise" and often, "They are to blame for this." In this mood we strike out to punish hoping that is the solution. When that fails Resignation can quickly follow. The stronger path forward is to accept that which we cannot change and adopt Peace/Acceptance as a platform to move forward. (Taken 14 June 2004)

Optimism -- Optimism or ambition speaks of a desire to recognise the possible and obtain it. The image shows a number of possibilities, some closer and some further away. Each identical reflecting a part of one|'s larger life goal. What first seems distant can soon be right in front of us if we approach it with the right mood. (Taken 14 June 2004)

Resignation -- When possibility fails Resignation follows. Our choice of action is limited. Yet this often occurs because we fail to properly identify all possibilities, remaining constrained by our individual interpretation of the past. We will say to ourselves, "It can|'t happen" but never bother to check that assumption. In this mood we must seek out others to generate new possibilities and cultivate new action. Or perhaps we seek Peace in knowing that what we thought was possible isn't for us at this time. (Taken 14 June 2004)
