Ah, I see. Broadcom is still screwing up vmware things. It's ongoing. It's never ending.

Of course, I just wanted to hit the check-for-updates menu item in Fusion and got the can not resolve host error. Went lookihg for why and ... yeah, you need entitlement for updates now and no more unauthenticated updates from within the software itself.

Like dudes, couldn't you have kept the update servers working until you had a version released that asked for your broadcom account credentials? I think this and Fusion/Workstation being no charge now is about the end of the line for these desktop virtualization products.

All I ever use it for these days is to periodically boot a windows vm just to run updates on THAT and then shut it down. Why am I going through these motions still? It's just another form of #DoomScrolling I guess.
