I was trying to get Signal working on a MacBook, having first installed it on an iPhone. Finding out how to link them was difficult, but actually following the instructions had me screaming obscenities at both screens. I eventually found the relevant bits on both machines but was flummoxed by scanning the QR code, which I have never done before. Don't like them. It didn't work. Then I realised I was holding the phone the wrong way round.

A Luddite is a person who wants technology to benefit the lower echelons of society (workers, low wage-earners, etc), instead of those at the top (bosses, millionaires, corporations).

And who is willing to take action to stop those top dogs from using technology to trample those at the bottom.
