Something I didn't realize was annoying before I started playing #ProSekai more seriously is that I need my phone to focus on this one app without trying to multitask.
Starting processes, switching from WiFi to 5G or vice versa, pinning new information based on previous orders, all of these interrupt the game and have real penalties in group rooms. And don't get me started on accidentally swiping out of the game entirely.
For all the convenience of mobile gaming it's a fragile platform.
I have been playing a lot of the gacha rhythm visual novel free to play game Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage. (Project Sekai or #ProSekai in Japan.)
It's real good, and the monetization is evil. I feel conflicted. I want to talk about it, but I also feel like all of my posts need to come with a "Friends don't let friends gacha game" warning.
FWIW, if you don't have a collection compulsion it's a very low key pay structure, easy to ignore.
