This wasp was ovipositing in some insect hidden behind the curl of the petal (sepal) on a heliconia plant. This chalcid is like a 1/4 the size of a grain of rice. If I have this ID'ed correctly, this is an aphid parasitoid, but it looked like it was ovipositing in a mealybug.

This is a male Pelecinid which for some reason are almost never seen in the nearctic region but are common found in tropic regions. This is only the second male I've seen. I'm fairly certain this is the American Pelecinid (P. polyturator). There are only two other species that are both tropical but usually they have a red or brown coloration. Their common host is june beetle larvae.
