Proactive policing
Make no mistake, NSW has a serious problem. A gang problem. Like all gangs, innocent citizens pay them "protection money", in this case via taxes, and if you look at them the wrong way, wear clothing they don't like or live in an area where you are likely to be more vulnerable, they will accost you on the street, chase you back to your house, attempt to shoot your protective super good girl, and then shoot you dead for the pleasure. (After that, the likelihood of them then going home and beating their partners is quite high.) But don't worry, we'll look after their mental health needs.
