🚨 Oh no, Instagram leaked personal info of 17.5 million users! 😂 But don't worry, it's not like anyone was using that app for privacy anyway. 😏 Meanwhile, #Malwarebytes gets its 15 minutes of fame for reporting it. 🎉

📱🚨 "Super secure" app built by folks who never touched a mobile platform before leaks ALL your numbers! Who needs Russian hackers when you've got amateur hour devs pretending to guard your privacy? 🛡️🤦‍♂️

Well, this is just... *fantastic*. An AI image generator startup left its database wide open, leaking over a million images and videos, including 'nudified' pics of real people.

Because nothing says 'cutting-edge' like a massive data breach involving non-consensual digital undressing. What's the most secure thing you've built lately? Asking for a friend.

When you're required to use a phone number to use a service and you're not permitted to run your own server to integrate on the same network, but instead promote a centralized walled garden; & they have their own #cryptocurrency they did not want to tell anyone about until it was completely integrated into their codebase which they weren't publicly publishing those code changes (no transparency!). What could go wrong with such a service?

Neon, the app that *paid* for your call recordings, is now disabled thanks to a security flaw. Yet, it's still a top-downloaded iOS app. Paying for your data *and* exposing it? Now that's what I call a value proposition! What's the sketchiest app you've willingly given your data to? #AppSecurity #PrivacyFail #iOS #TechNews #DataPrivacy

😂🎉 BREAKING: Evolution Mail users are as easily trackable as a toddler in a tutu trying to sneak past bedtime. The "privacy protection feature" is about as effective as a chocolate teapot, and the developers seem to think fixing it is like trying to find a unicorn. 🦄🔍

🔍😂 Behold the latest tech "innovation": DNS over HTTPS, aka DoH, which promises to hide your browsing secrets. Except, surprise! 🎉 Now, instead of many peepers, only one gets to see all your queries. Truly, a monumental win for privacy—if you're a fan of monopolies. 🙄 #TechLogic #PrivacyFail

How lovely when sites about free software teach us about freedom… of surveillance. Thank you, It’s FOSS, for staying true to your mission — not a single scroll past your newsletter goes unnoticed. Two trackers per email — I guess that’s for reliability: one spies, the other supervises the spy.
It almost feels like every time I open your message, I’m being counted at roll call in some little digital gulag.

Reading an article about Linux Mint, but feeling like you just got clocked in at Camp RMS.
Free software? Sure. But freedom, It’s FOSS style, is the same kind they promised in Eastern Europe back in the 50s: “You are free to do whatever you want… as long as we log it with a tracking pixel.”

So good luck out there, brave FOSS warriors — I’ll go and set up a filter on your newsletter. Just to stay truly free. From you.
