Please check out the latest entry of the #PreferenceHandling news blog which discusses preference learning in large language models.

Furthermore, the article wraps up #MPREF2025 and gives an outlook on this year’s events on preference handling with a focus on #DA2PL2026 and #ADT2026. ADT 2026 will be held in Paris on November 16-18 and the submission deadlines are on May 4 for abstracts and May 11 for full papers.

THE IMPACT OF PREFERENCE LEARNING

@preferencehandling

You have a nice paper related to #PreferenceHandling or #ComputationalSocialChoice and had no luck at #COMSOC2025 or #ECAI2025, but want to attend ECAI in Bologna? Please consider submitting your paper to the 16th Multidisciplinary Workshop on Advances in Preference Handling #MPREF2025 by August 1.

M-PREF 2025 - Submissions to Preference Handling Workshop

The 16th Workshop on Advances in Preference Handling M-PREF 2025 is seeking submissions on all computational aspects of preference handling.

@preferencehandling
As there have been multiple deadlines mid May, we have extended the deadline of #MPREF2024 from May 15 to June 7. So if you wanted to submit a paper, but had no time, you now have three further weeks!

For several years, I found it quite normal to use a Twitter button on our #PreferenceHandling web site. After all, there are many web sites that embed some Twitter button. However, my website builder gave me a privacy alert, but I only understood it now: embedding the Twitter button in a website enables Twitter to track visitors of this website. This clearly violates our policy of not collecting visitor data. I took a last screenshot of the button since it must go now:

Many computational tasks in #AI, #ML, #orms and other fields require some form of choice and may benefit from an explicit preference model to ensure that the choices are convenient. #PreferenceHandling covers computational methods for the elicitation, representation, aggregation, and satisfaction of #preferences for computational tasks.
