My name is GordoNo idea. Mounted the small rubber shroud for the rear fan from the Quicksilver, as opposed to the plastic shield that holds the fan in the Digital Audio, and I've mounted a 120mm fan on top pointing out, Intel cooler style. I don't honestly think heat is the issue, but I'd like to at least eliminate it as a variable (or hey, maybe it is the issue, and I can prevent losing another night to fighting with yet another cursed G4).
Starting to once again lose my taste for playing with old Macs (though there's always the possibility that it's a side effect of the modified ATX power supply).
It is entirely possible that what is actually happening is it's going to sleep, and then failing to wake up (which I think is a side effect of the modded ATX power supply). I've now slid the sleep timer in the Energy Saver panel to Never, but I'm too dumb and impatient to wait and see if this solves it, and I currently have OS9.2 installing to the IDE drive. Wish me luck, lol.

I found a #powermacg4 tower at our local thrift/food/second hand hall. It was sold by the adult dvd store, for some reason.
Anyway, it followed me home and after reinstalling the OS to get rid of the prior owner's data I have to say there's not THAT much difference between #macos9 and #macosx

Aujourd'hui, retour de mon époux·e.
J'ai fabriqué un petit jouet en cotte de maille pour les chattes, en espérant qu'il résiste plus longtemps que les souris, poissons et oiseaux en tissu du commerce.
J'ai essayé de faire fonctionner un MacBook Pro (15-Inch, premier modèle) pour voir s'il intègrera ma collection à la place de celui que j'ai déjà et qui ne fonctionne pas. En photo, voici le moment exact où notre chatte est venue arrêter le lent processus de réparation du disque dur corrompu, en cliquant sur Cancel.

Je vais chercher mon époux·e à la gare. Câlins, je lui montre les choses que j'ai changé dans l'appartement, mon époux·e me montre les choses rapportées de son voyage. Animal Crossing.
J'assemble un prototype d'une peluche que j'ai préparée à partir de photos d'un de mes ordinateurs, et je découpe un bloc de mousse pour le rembourrer. Voilà le second modèle de ma collection MacPlush.
