But i was able to show @lalitpatnaik a cool SiC wafer this week! #PowerElectroncis #silicon #siliconcarbide

Doing a quick test of a boost converter circuit I got on Amazon. I don't think anything will go wrong, but just in case I have the shield.

This is just something quick. I wanted to grab to be able to run a thin client, which needs about 19 volts, from a 12 volt battery. It looks like it should only need a few watts, 10 watts tops from when I was measuring it under load. This is without running a desktop or anything.

Trying to chip away at this project again, after finding that most of the parts I was going to use the first time around aren't available. Here's a housekeeping power supply, basically a small buck converter that will power... A buck converter.

This is just to take 11-48 VDC and step it down to about 9 VDC, using a little buck regulator from TI. Then this will get stepped down to 5 VDC with a linear regulator for a microcontroller and some op amps. 9 VDC should also cover a MOSFET gate drive.
