Anytime you see 'postive feedback loop' in the context of a #ClimateChange article, replace it with 'terrifying doom spiral' to really understand the gravitas that holds.

Alberta STILL has 75 wild fires. If any had wind like Edmonton, some will jump from 'Under Control' to 'Being Held' or worse.

Area burned this year is staying stable at 2.2 million ha or 5.4 million acres.

How much fossil fuel is used to fight all these fires? It all adds to the atmospheric carbon load but so does the burned trees.
