🇫🇷 Arthur Vierendeel, ingénieur civil belge (1852 - 1940) a donné son nom à un type de ponts dont certains, comme le pont ferroviaire Vierendeel de Laeken, sont toujours en service. Il date de 1942 et permet à la ligne 50 Bruxelles-Nord - Denderleeuw (appelée aussi l'ancienne ligne de Gent) de franchir le canal de Willebroek.

🇬🇧 Arthur Vierendeel, Belgian* civil engineer (1852 - 1940) gave his name to a type of bridge, some, like the Vierendeel railway bridge in Laken built in 1942, are still in service. It make possible for the railway line 50 Brussels-North - Denderleeuw (also called the old line to Gent) to cross the canal of Willebroek.
