MedeaSome time ago I spent a day observing the Italian Wall Lizard - Podarcis siculus, the most common lizard in southern Italy! ๐
However these guys were different from the ones I usually see, with such bright green, orange and yellow (on the eyelids!) And light blue spots near the front paws.
Besides these male lizards displaying such beautiful colors because of the mating season, it's also probably linked to diet and environment. So impressive ๐
These in the pictures are three different specimens.
During this season males are highly territorial and chase both other males to defend their territory, and females to mate with them.
