I see reports and reviews all over the place, but what I noticed is that the "great!" ones have Apple gear which leads me to think it all depends on the Bluetooth stack, it's stability, latency and bandwidth. Looks like you can saturate low-quality BT adapters and get delays and dropouts.
I'd LOVE this to work for ocassionally play as I can't realistically have even a MIDI drum kit in an apartment.
