Jacques Tourneur's Anne of the Indies (1951) is a pirate adventure movie about a lady pirate. She’s brave, sexy, daring and sympathetic apart from being a mass murderess. Surprisingly nuanced with a complex protagonist. Great stuff.

The Pirates of Capri (1949) is an Edgar G. Ulmer swashbuckling pirate romantic adventure shot in Italy, with Louis Hayward playing a variation on Zorro. Not what you expect from Ulmer but it's energetic and fun. And he had a decent budget.

Yankee Buccaneer (1952), an enjoyable programmer if you love pirate movies. A US Navy officer pretends to be a pirate. Shot on the same sets as the Errol Flynn pirate film Against All Flags.

Against All Flags (1952) is one of Errol Flynn’s later swashbucklers. An Errol Flynn pirate movie is always worth a watch. And Maureen O’Hara plays a lady pirate which is a bonus.

Not one of the great swashbucklers but still fine entertainment.
