Bonsoir,

How do you want disabeling community themes to work?

In a previous post , I talked about the new community themes feature.

From a lot of the commentors, I heard, that you wish, that you would like to have the ability to disable community themes from specific communities and not just in general.
I am currently planning on implementing that feature, but I am not quite shure, if you would like to be able to disable certain community themes on some of your devices, but not on others (which would mean storing that setting in a browser cookie) or if you want to disable community themes of certain communities for your entire user account, so that the setting is applied to all your devices at once (which would mean storing that setting in the database.

Feel free to share your opinion in more details in the comments!

Disable certain community themes only on one device at a time (store it as a cookie)
Disable certain community themes for your entire account (store it in the database)

Piefed just got a new "community theme" option, feel free to get creative with it!

For the newest piefed release, I worked on a new feature, that allows community admins to choose a "community theme", which overrides the users the…

Which Fediverse accounts to follow for more flottila news ? 🤔

Image shows the <cough> "social media" <cough> on the Global Flotilla website. #askfedi #fediverse #mastodon #piefed #pixelfed #lemmy #mbin #flotilla #gaza #palestine #breakthesiege

Does anyone know of a #Lemmy client that separates into topics like #PieFed does?

Or do I need a PieFed account to use their lovely web client? I already have two Lemmy accounts lolz

We're over 6 hours in to Season 2 of #TheButton! So far Green and Purple are battling it out for first place.

It's open to all platforms and instances to join in, including #lemmy, #piefed, and #mastodon - so why not play the newest #fediverse game?!

Probably less of a #game and more of a #social #experiment!

PieFed gets /r/random, like reddit used to have

Piefed a un boutton pour découvrir de nouvelles commu :)

You’ll get taken to a random community. Once you arrive there’s a link at the top of the page to /r/random so you can just hammer away at that until you get somewhere that’s the right combo of random and interesting.

There is also /r/randnsfw that takes you to a random nsfw communty if your instance has them.

Back to the future - Interacting with threadiverse communities through Usenet / NNTP

A few months ago I threw this question out into the void - “what if you could access the fediverse through your Usenet reader??” and got almost no response. Still, the idea had lodged in my brain and wouldn’t go away so this weekend I caved in and built the thing. Hat tip to the author of the excellent nntpserver package that did all the hard stuff.

I look forward to seeing someone’s screenshots of fediverse posts on a Commodore 64, some day.

This will be released as a part of PieFed 1.7, coming soon.

#reddit va exiger votre identité
Passez a #Piefed 🤷‍♀️

C une alternative, un quasi clone, qui est opensource et qui dépend pas de reddit, c'est aussi basé sur fediverse comme #mastodon

(En + celui qui fait l'app va apporter la traduction auto comme reddit
