Cutting and folding the corners of the Phonotrope coloring page turns out great. The shadows are adding so much dept! 👻
Started this project because I wanted to reduce the screentime in the classroom...
But I am afraid that we won't be able to stop staring at the gorgeous animations the students will be making.

A lovely comrade gave me an 'old' iPhone to experiment with. And it's working!
I used the Blackmagic Camera app to control the shutterspeed (500) and framerate (24 FPS).
With my Nikon Camera the video still comes out too dark (and it somehow shows two dots?). So I am really happy with this!
It also means I can leave out the stroboscope so the workshop will be more accessible. I had an alternative for that, but this is waaay better.
So excited about this new Phonotrope workshop! 💽
It was a challenge for me to catch the rotating animation on film, so I decided to use a photo camera and Dragonframe to animate their cool drawings.
This temporary extra step turned out to be the thing that the students and teachers loved the most! They get to dive into the process/history of Stop Motion and take pictures with a REAL camera (I hand them the bleutooth controller). 😱
