i do wish manufacturers would just go back to making phones with a small footprint instead of giving us windshield-sized screens and an option to "enable one-handed mode".

that's just accepting that they know people like the smaller screen but they can't be arsed to work towards designing something like that.

really. i dont need 120fps or true colour or gamma ray tech. just give me a small screen, good battery, and a headphone jack.

Imagine if an #industrialDesigner fixed this with one simple, but controversial design choice — an extendable #antennea. Only when that #antenna is extended will the phone send and receive a signal.

It needn't be long, maybe 3cm (1.5 inches)?

We would find that a joy to use. Most ppl really don't need to be wired 24/7
