Imagine if an #industrialDesigner fixed this with one simple, but controversial design choice — an extendable #antennea. Only when that #antenna is extended will the phone send and receive a signal.
It needn't be long, maybe 3cm (1.5 inches)?
We would find that a joy to use. Most ppl really don't need to be wired 24/7

Yes. Just look at the growing #fascism in #India and how they are finding any excuse to start shutting off the #internet to all sites that are not #whitelisted.
We are keeping an eye on #meshNet developments. These systems will only require an #app, batteryLife and #antennea (in the form of a sticker) on your device. Good meshnet developments are #openSource.
