At 0025 GMT, there was the small matter of a meteor, probably a Perseid.

We are passing by the shooting stars area every year, amazing show. But, in 2126 the shooting stars are coming to collect the ticket price.

"Upon its September 1992 rediscovery, the comet's date of perihelion passage was off from the 1973 prediction by 17 days. It was then noticed that if its next perihelion passage (July 2126) was also off by another 15 days (July 26), the comet could impact the Earth or the Moon on 14 August 2126."

To be honest, it was a quite disappointing #perseid #meteor display last night (even considering the annoying Moon light). Below is a composite of the three brightest colorful ones my camera could capture (along with a photobombing ✈️).

I started watching at around 10pm, then gave up soon after midnight when it started clouding over. I saw one good bright #Perseid and a couple of fainter ones. My camera saw nothing but planes and satellites.
