I'm not much for selfies, or self portraits or whatever you want to call it, but here's one that turned out quite well. If anyone is wondering, the instrument is an old Finnish traditional instrument called "Kantele".

In short I needed some new PR-photos for a show I'm doing this summer and had no time to get a photographer. So I waited until I had the light I wanted, got dressed and set up my camera and with my remote shutter in hand I managed to get some keepers. (This one being still rather un-edited).

I used my old Canon 35mm f/1.8 LTM from the 50's here. Wide open to get the separation and wow, this lens is almost too amazing. Soft, aquarell like color separation but still sharper in the details than it has any right to be. Almost too sharp, I should have bothered to shave...

Nothing much interesting here, or at least not a capture with as much emotional attachment as last time. I've moved out into the woods, semi temporarily, but I'm spending most of my days isolated in the house where my grandmother grew up. Slow days, a fire stove for cooking, cold floor and a lot of weird old decorations. I thought I'd just share this one, an old flower pot that stood in what I turned into a bedroom when I moved in. A young boy perhaps, having flowers planted where ones brain should be. Or perhaps one should look at it as if the flowers are the boys ideas sprouting? Anyway, hope you enjoy the short rant and the strange piece of ceramic from probably somewhere around the 40's or 50's.

So, I haven't really been photographing much latley. To be honest, not really for the past few years, but life has kind of changed course for me now. It's my first Christmas weekend after a rough separation and I decided to bring my digital Fuji, and wow am I glad I did. Got this one on the way to my family on the 23rd. Now I've developed my first batch of film in almost two years, I'm looking forward to keeping this momentum going. And to actually share some of my captures. Happy holidays to you guys!
