Time for a #PaulsPuzzleReview looking at the independent daily #puzzles and #games out there. Today is #Waffle https://wafflegame.net/ which a few people have mentioned.
It's a word game using a 5x5 grid that looks like a waffle. The grid is prefilled with letters which you can drag to swap position. You have 15 swaps to arrange the letters to form 6 words, and the letters are coloured according to the Wordle scheme (green correct, yellow for correct letter in wrong place in the word).

Susie https://susie.rbrignall.org.uk/ is another take on the 'guess the 5 letter word' genre. You have 10 guesses to divine Susie's word. You're given a clue as to which letters in the word are consonants (C) and which are vowels (V). E.g. the clue may be CVCVC which would fit the word METAL among others. With each guess you're told how many letters are correct. [cont'd]

Semantle https://semantle.com/ is another guess the word game but despite the name the mechanic is completely different from Wordle. You guess a word and Semantle tells you how semantically similar it is to the word you are trying to guess. 'Similar' can be based on any usage of a word. So, for example, 'spoon' could be considered similar to 'fork' or 'cuddle'.

Black Crossword https://www.blackcrossword.com/ is a mini crossword puzzle that "places emphasis on terms and clues from across the Black diaspora". Nurdle https://www.nurdle.fun/ is in the Wordle mould but instead of telling you when the letters you guessed are in the word but in the wrong position it tells you if the letter in a particular position is alphabetically near to the correct letter. So if you guess C for the first letter of the word and it says you are 2 letters off then the first letter is A or E.
