I honestly think this is a new level of entitlement brought about by #MAGA and the devolution of norms and civility. These people assume everyone else is lying, cheating and stealing, so they may as well, too. Lest they *feel like* suckers.

People with monster trucks also feel entitled to park wherever cuz they're too big to fit in normal spots. Same with signaling; they assume everyone must see them.
