Drone flight over Fortress Paramonga. It was built by the Chimú empire to defend their south frontier against enemies. Their rapid southern expansion may have been encouraged by the growing power of the Inca empire to their southeast, in preparation for a future conflict. But the Chimú were no match for the Inca. They were defeated during the rule of the Inca King Pachacuti.
