#Russia continues attacking #Odesa, killing civilians, damaging civilian vessels, and wrecking port infrastructure.

Today, #Russia killed one person and injured 8 more with a ballistic strike on #Odesa.

Civilian vessels were damaged: the #Belize-flagged #NS_Moon and the #Palauan-flagged cargo ship #OPTIMA. A week ago, the #OPTIMA vessel was already damaged by ballistic missile fire, and its crew members were injured.

A #Palauan #newspaper publisher entered into a #media deal with a company that turned out to have connections to #ChineseSecurity services. The deal fell through, but it highlights China’s efforts to influence the Pacific states — including #Palau , a U.S. ally and one of the few countries to recognize #Taiwan .
