Likely a dancer, born in Svartdal this july from a old, dry and naked twig put on an oak plinth taken from a ceiling beam in a medieval building in the Dordogne renovated in the 1990ies. Acrylic blue color, Tung Oil all over.

«Flotubuguden»
A Viking* time household god from the 900s found burried in the ground in Vinje, Telemark in 1918. A wooden small trunk shaped as a human-like figure dated to around the 9th century. Interpreted as a deity or house deity. Named "Flotubuguden" after the place of discovery.
*The Viking Age is a term used for the period from around 800 to around 1050, especially in the Nordic countries and partly in other regions, such as in the British Isles.
