I learned today that September is PCOS Awareness Month!
I was diagnosed with it back in December after dealing with one of the most miserable (bloody) months of my life and let me tell you, having it sucks and I'm stuck with it for life but it is at least nice to know the reason why my body doesn't know how to behave sometimes. I had suspected I have it for a long time but it took my hormones going absolutely haywire to actually cause bad enough symptoms for a doctor to check me out and confirm my ovaries look like bundles of grapes.
Everyone I've talked about it with is always surprised when I mention PCOS aka polycystic ovarian syndrome is actually really common (~10% of uterus havers) so hey this is my contribution to spreading a lil bit of awareness that it's a thing. ✨
