Radiccio now works with Unstream! Unstream is a Mac menubar app that helps you support the artists youโre listening to, with links to buy their music where the artists get a bigger cut of the proceeds. Unstream can also scrobble your Radiccio listening activity to ListenBrainz.
Radiccio + Unstream make it easier than ever to #OwnYourMusic. Thanks to @kidlightbulbs for the collab! https://unstream.stream
Take back ownership of your music.
For those of you who have also been wishing to make your physical media more accessible, this may be a better option than paying your kids to rip your CDs and DVDs

I have it installed on my #TrueNAS right now and am testing/tweaking it.
Deliberate step back in tech with my new MP3 player. More than just nostalgia this is about reclaiming ownership of my music. Downloading from Bandcamp means artists get paid fairly as well as minimizing the server pollution of constant streaming. A small way to push back against #spotifysploitation and truly #payartists. Excited to curate my own collection again! Turns out keeping my old iTunes library was a good idea, and those dusty CDs in the basement? They're next!
My journey to ditch streaming music and own my music library again.
Hat tip to @cory for the ongoing inspiration, it's nice to see people share their journey and joy at reconnecting with their media again now that it's a bit more personal.
A year and a half after switching from Spotify to Apple Music (still streaming), Iโm finally working on reconstructing my owned music library, one album at a time.
Over the last 10 years Iโve added very little to my old music library because I used streaming almost exclusively. So it is quite a journey of nostalgia re-discovering so much music I listened to and loved so long ago.
And slowly sorting through the old collection and adding each album intentionally gives me a nice moment to enjoy it fully before I rebuild my mixes and playlists. Like hugging dear, old friends as they walk through the door for a housewarming party.
