This won't surprise many of the people here I'm sure, but just reading how the ovulation tracking app Ovia now requires users to specify what state they live in. In their words, "Many states are introducing privacy laws to further protect your privacy and personal health data. In order to comply with these laws and further protect your data, we ask for your state of residency." This sounds a lot like horseshit.

If you have the app, delete it immediately.

Absolutely do not use it for its intended purpose.
