How decoders are addressed confuses many. Multifunction decoders have 2 modes: Primary & Extended. Accessory decoders have 9 or 11 bit addresses. Not confusing at all.😀

Soldering: It's not hard. The right solder + rosin flux combination makes it work. An ESD safe soldering iron is a must for soldering on decoders.
