For the final #ArtAdventCalendar, a semi-abstract Nativity scene I worked in #OrNué, inspired by an oil painting of my mother's. Oddly, the atmosphere of the embroidery is not at all the same as the oil painting, much quieter, graver, and more still.
I'm not displeased with it, but I would do it differently now.

First, the #AmarnaFamilyGroup, in #OrNue. This was my lockdown project, inspired by a combination of boundary stelae at Amarna, and the famous throne chair found in Tutankhamun's tomb.

I am still really pleased with this one!
Ok, so I've added the ribbon border. It will now need some jiggling to ease it into place before I attach it to the velvet stele.
