Der Ohrentaucher („Flórgoði“) ist ein seltener Brutvogel im Norden Europas und Islands. Er fällt durch seine goldgelben „Ohrenbüschel“ im Prachtkleid auf und ist der einzige Lappentaucher, der sogar nördlich des Polarkreises brütet. Die Art bevorzugt kleinere Seen mit niedriger Ufervegetation.
