Kirby's transition to 3D has great controls/platforming & still feels like a Kirby game. 1st player is Kirby, 2nd player is a Waddle Dee w/o power-ups. Great for players w/different skills, but not for 2 skilled players. Mouth Full mechanic has Kirby control large objects in short sections, but it's just a few objects & gets repetitive. #gamer #gaymer

Another #OffTheBacklog #SuperMarioRPG #Switch I never played jRPGs as a child. Even without nostalgia I enjoyed the refreshingly short 20 hrs to max level my entire party & get to credits. This's a great introductory jRPG & deserving of its beloved status. There's a TON to do after the credits but I'll be moving on. You can toggle retro/updated soundtrack but don't expect anything like the orchestral #LinksAwakening remake I'm so bad at isometric platforming #gamer #gaymer #jrpg #rpg #backlog

Time for #OffTheBacklog - it's #StevenKing 's #TheStand as an unabridged audiobook based on the 1990 "Complete & Uncut Edition". At 47 hours and 47 minutes, this audiobook is a commitment. It’s a fantastic book, and Grover Gardner’s narration is the best I’ve heard, save for the frequent mispronunciation of Nevada. (Remember, Nevada sounds like "Had Uh" not "Odd Duh"). I won't do any spoiling but I will say even if you've seen both adaptations there is plenty here for you and it's way better!

Well over 350 hours (mostly on the #steamdeck ) and another game #OffTheBacklog ! #DyingLight was fantastic, genuinely scary at times and the exploring and verticality were very rewarding. Ended at 20,210 infected killed, 228 drops recovered, legend level 102, all quests, side quests and quarantine zones completed and 44 steam achievements. And streamed a good bit of it. The #Twitch year recap said I was in top 10% of DyingLight streamers! #gaymer #gamer #backlog

2024 is drawing to a close and I'm using winter break to get a couple more things #OffTheBacklog - I just finished #TheHobbit ! It was enjoyable and best of all the battle of the 5 armies was just 6 pages long! I won't be moving on to the #LotR books just yet. Cozy, that's the word - this book is cozy and enjoyable. #gaymer

Another game #OffTheBacklog - this time it's Call of Juarez : Gunslinger & man was this the perfect change of pace after a lot of long RPG playing - this game took 19.1 hours. I really like the art style & it does a great job of balancing moments where you feel like a total badass & times you play the same section over & over. Well, unsatisfied with the bad ending I loaded a previous save and got the full ending #Persona3 is now fully #OffTheBacklog and clocked in at 106 hours 3 min in the save file and steam puts my total play at 105.4 hours. Can't help but I think I would have enjoyed the game more if it had been more like 40-60hr checkout my previous #OffTheBacklog post for more of my thoughts #gamer #gaymer #steamdeck #jrpg

I played a proper/long (for me) #JRPG - #Persona3Portable & after 96hr of play it's #OffTheBacklog I enjoyed the battle system, really liked Junpei & I can see why it's loved, but can also say it wasn't for me. A 3rd of the way thru the game it felt repetitive/boring, I really disliked some of the ppl you are supposed to build relationships w/& a strange transphobic scene kinda comes out of nowhere/serves no purpose. #gamer #gaymer
