Zarfu is a lightning mage, more specifically a weather-mancer. He honed his powers to manipulate/summon storms, tornadoes, and meteorological events. As such, he is knowledgeable about what the land needs, whether rain or shine.

He also is able to store and discharge lightning in any form. He is immune to electrical and thunder damage, and usually flings it back with additional power. Also likes playing with lightning, usually by juggling bolts or making familiars.

Because he can store electricity, he can use it to shock people. His favorite trick is where he touches and gives the other person enough of a shock to make their hair/fur/feathers/scales stand on end. He doesn't use it often, but it does bring a chuckle to the orc.

He also has a thunderhawk by the name of Qu'ia that he found during his adventuring days.

According to his family, he was born during a lightning storm. A local Mage Conclave thought it was an omen, and they marked him as a fellow mage. Imagine their surprise when he followed in the family's traditions of wine-making!

His powers didn't show up until his was in his early 20s, when he was, according to his accounts, trying to make a batch of his family's blackberry ale. He accidentally summoned a storm of such strength it almost destroyed his home.

After that, he spent a few years under the tutelage another weather-mancer, a lady of such temper that he got inspired to make a equally fierce apple/plum brandy. The comparison didn't sit well with his tutor; although, he did manage to sell several casks.

A chance meeting with another adventurer got him with itchy feet, and he decided to follow him for tales of glory and riches. During those times, he met up with Adzarm (a minotaur bard), a few orc cousins, and one particularly handsome Firbolg sorcerer.

After a solid five years of being on the road, he called it quits and gathered his riches to head back home, where he lives now heading the town's tavern and selling his blueberry ale, dragon blood mead, and other family recipes to the discerning public.

But sometimes, adventure beckons onwards, pulling Zarfu reluctantly towards fame and glory....
