@blogdiva learning is awesome. I often recommend that you should just pick up a book that has nothing to do with work, nothing to do with anything relevant to your life and read about it. Learning random shit makes you better at learning.

Like, sure, now my head is full of stuff about medieval Spain or fringe analytic philosophy or the c3 Sicilian but it does mean I can now learn something I need to pretty quickly.
