Ben 👋Watched The #Northman last night. What an incredibly intense experience. Holy shit. The Viking Hurling scene was a highlight. Expected a Braveheart-like epic, but it’s much more intimate, a blood-soaked take on Hamlet.

I am predisposed to love movies involving #Vikings, but #TheNorthman is absolute dogshit.
The script is fucking absurd and cannot be saved by Ethan Hawke growling, roaring, screaming, whispering or squeaking his lines.
Plot-wise, it's a bog-standard "oh you killed my dad and fucked my mum" revenge fantasy, which is basically #Hamlet so fuck you.
Everyone involved should die of shame.

Mark HA film that we've had recorded for a few months - #TheNorthman - got treated to a watch tonight. Well. A bit of a mixed bag. The first half hour was mostly thinking it was dreadful, disjointed, felt like cut scenes from a video game. The next twenty minutes were spent getting it, a bit, but thinking it was an attempt to film an opera. And then it sort of clicked. And, yeah, pretty epic. Mad as a box of frogs, but an epic box of frogs. And lots of lovely #Iceland.

Видел трейлер? Фильм можешь не смотреть, в трейлере было всё интересное.
Начну с хорошего. Там будет Николь Кидман. Постаревшая, но живая.
А теперь ведро дёгтя.
Всей актёрской игрой занимается Anya Taylor-Joy, других играющих в фильме нет. Остальные не обманут даже зрителей детского утренника.
IMDb: 7.5 дали за Кидман. Фильм нудный, тупой, сделанный на "отъебитесь", откровенно халтурный. 5.0, и то среди фанатов. Любой фильм Кейджа и то лучше.
Врут. Это не боевик, не драма, и уж конечно не приключенческий фильм.
Это унылая мистика, разбавленная выпадающими кровавыми кишками.
Постановщиком боёв был второклассник. Даже крупным планом, даже в главной битве главного героя, всё очень плохо. "я типа ударил, ты типа упал, но в следующий раз попробу упасть после моего удара, а не до него".
Половина фильма снята в ЧБ, с претензией на "высокое". Как "Трудно быть богом" с Ярмольником образца 2013 года.
Если вы ждали чего-то про викингов, насмотревшись недавних сериалов, то вы сильно разочаруетесь. А вот поклонникам творчества Кола Бельды с его незабвенным хитом "А чукча в чуме ждёт рассвета, а рассвет бывает летом" фильм наверняка понДравится. Если не заснут.
Не рекомендую. Категорически. Взрослые на такую туфту не клюнут, дети кровавого натуризма, как главной идеи фильма, просто не поймут.
