btw, what are y'all doing with your spare time on Fridays this past ~25 years? Went to the credit union last Friday over lunch, panicked when I realized what I had done, and then it was over before it started. Waited exactly 1 minute for the teller to finish up with the other person in the bank.

#rstats terra can be crazy slow to plot a COG (mine is 2500x2500, tiny) ... one weird trick is

1) use aggregate on the shell
2) project the cog to the aggregated target with "by_util = TRUE"

r <- rast("/vsicurl/https://my/somewhere/cog.tif")
plotRGB(project(r, aggregate(rast(r), 10), by_util = TRUE))

#noWaiting

better to set the target up with a specific dimension, but the aggregate factor is easy enough to guess

@davemark Rolled the dice and went to Apple Store yesterday. Got a 15Pro Natural. They had only 2 in stock. #noWaiting
