I just watched a video from a YouTube channel about gardening. I landed in the channel accidentally, while trying to avoid slop elsewhere.
When I looked into the main channel to see what else was there, the most recent video was a plead for people to support the content creator and not to watch AI-made videos.
He tried to highlight the absurdity of the AI videos, but his voice cracked a little when he talked about the loss of views / income and the plagiarizing of his scripts. It made me sad.
I'm not a big follower of content creators, but it looked like a person making a living, for years, out of explaining how to grow things and recommending products to grow things. But now his future is not so certain.
The video had a good part that was mostly an ode to imperfection. I liked that.
