How is #SfN this year? Feeling any different from the pre-Trump era? Do we know if attendance numbers have been affected? Are people there feeling bittersweet that US science is getting destroyed, or instead defiant?

As a "baseline" for this poll ⬆️, let's see which of you (#Neuroscientists) did go to SfN last time it was in San Diego, so 2022:
#Neuroscience #NeuroConf #SfN2022
Edited to lengthen the poll duration
Any #Neuroscientists going to #SfN this year (in San Diego, USA)?

(I am not)
Edit: reopened the poll because it was set for just 1 day, oops
This #NeuralNet2025 conference seems interesting:

where: Bordeaux Neurocampus (France)
when: Wednesday 26 noon to Friday 28 noon
preceded by: minischool on spike sorting (Tuesday 25 - Wed.26).

Animal navigation is a fascinating, variable, magic and broad field so we want to make sure ANC26 covers the wide variety of areas and disciplines representing this field.
🐜 'cognitive map debate' in insect navigation
🧠 Neurobiology of mammalian navigation
🧭 Physics behind animal navigation
What can you, or your colleagues, present on?

Heading off to the #EBBS2025 conference in Bordeaux!
I will present a poster there on our latest #HippocampalReplay findings (replay does not do planning, but seems to support reward-learning instead, in a flexible spatial planning task), and co-lead a symposium with the great John Widloski, also on replay!
We have an amazing speaker list with John himself, Lisa Genzel, Jacob Bakermans and Elisa Massi!
Check the full programme here: https://ebbs2025.azuleon.org/programme_overview
Will you be there?!
@johnwidloski and I are co-organizing a symposium on #HippocampalReplay at the #EBBS25 in Bordeaux!
Our goal: From the state of the art in awake replay models & existing data, determine the next big questions and most informative future experiments to finally figure out what is awake replay for!
Our speakers:
Meeting dates: 28 June to 1 July 2025 (our symposium is on the last day
Programme: https://ebbs2025.azuleon.org/programme
The abstract submission deadline for posters (and early bird registration) is on 31 March 2025 - I hope to see you there!
@j_bertolotti
Just learned that a #Neuroscience conf that was planned to happen in the US this year was moved to Canada! Yeah! It has already started :)
Just realised the deadline for abstract submission to #Cosyne2025 is tomorrow (23rd Oct)!! Hurry up!
Cosyne 2025 deadline reminders 🤗🧠🤗 Abstract submissions close on 23 October 2024, 11:59 p.m. PT: https://www.cosyne.org/abstracts-submission Workshops proposals close on 4 October 2024, 11:59 p.m. PT: https://www.cosyne.org/workshops-call As they say in Montreal, Bonne Chance!
Seen on twitter, from #BendorLab:
“One month left to submit abstracts for the hippocampus green meeting

Join us for this 2-day conference focusing on hippocampal physiology, network dynamics, and the phenomenon of replay in freely behaving animal models (London, June 10-11, 2024)”
Looks pretty cool! If only I could plan my life that far in advance 😅
