Immerhin, Weihnachten und Neujahr auf dieser schönen Station ist nicht die schlechteste Art, eine Verspätung abzusitzen. 🙂

Ein Jahr später hat es dann meine Nachfolger nochmal erwischt, Dank Corona fielen die geplanten Versorgungsflüge zur Station aus, und sie wurden dann erst im März 2021 mit der Polarstern abgeholt. Mal eben zwei Monate länger überwintert, ich bin heute noch neidisch ;-)

@firefoxx66 it also means #logistics for #research espechally in the #Antarctic will have to be canceled and bases be mothballed right during the main season if work!

Pretty shure @awi and other research institutions kinda counted on being able to cooperate with the #NSF and just pay for #infrastructure co-use when shipping stuff...

Pretty shure @AuswaertigesAmt didn't have that issue on their agenda, cuz the last thing they wanna do is #SAR people off #Neumayer3...

It's getting more and more empty at #Neumayer3 (AWI_Media), as scientists and logistics staff, who worked here during summer are leaving the continent. Still hard to believe, but winter is approaching rapidly. #Oceanet
