I love it when metal folks manage to figure out dynamics and make albums with it. Huge thanks to @HailsandAles for having one-man deathdoom project CADAVER SHRINE from the Netherlands on his list last week, I would've missed this incredible new LP 'Into the Horrible Depths', which is a masterclass on death metal dynamics. I feel like this one is a modern deathdoom masterpiece, and that's why it's this week's #ThursDeath. Massive contender this year.

So who's into rough, raunchy garage synth punk? Just discovered this band called Achterlicht from the Netherlands and they totally rip. They appear to be really young dudes, but they have this shit DOWN. They've put out TWO demos this year, and both are full of fantastic songs and are full listens for me. I just went through both, no skips. How rare is that! And they're quick listens too, only 11 songs total, none over 3 minutes.
