Israel-Hamas war: Aid group halts delivery in Gaza after Israeli strike
An international charity has suspended delivery of food to starving Palestinians. The move comes a day after an Israeli airstrike killed seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen who were trying to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Israel’s offensive has pushed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to the brink of starvation in the territory. Cyprus said Tuesday that ships that recently arrived were turning back. They have some 240 tons of undelivered aid. The country has played a key role in trying to establish a sea route to bring food to Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged that Israeli forces carried out the “unintended strike.”
