#onthisday 112 years ago, 11th August 1906, my Great Great Grandfather Edward Edwards died from acute pthisis. He is one of my brick walls I have still yet to break down. He was a Welshman born in the 1840s in Montgomeryshire, Wales but nothing really is known about him as a child and tracing his parentage is proving very difficult. I have 3 different copies of a marriage record for him (shown below) that have all come from legitimate sources and are identical in detail EXCEPT for Edward's father which is different in each case!! I cannot explain the enigma but if looking for an Edward Edwards from Wales wasn't difficult enough before - we now have 3 possible fathers for him - Evan, Ivan or Edward - simple!!! #familyhistory #genealogy #needleinahaystack
