#NearestGreen Distillery, home of #UncleNearest Premium Whiskey, opened the world's longest bar tonight in my rural county. I kind of wanted to go, but I didn't. Now, I'm seeing the photos on Facebook and regretting that I didn't go. I understand they were expecting such a huge crowd that there was an overflow tent for people who couldn't get into the bar, which is one reason I didn't go.
Nathan "Nearest" Green was born into slavery and was the first African-American master distiller in the US. He also taught Jack Daniel everything he knew about whiskey. Finally, Nearest's story is now getting more recognition!
