To MediaWatch's credit, they have a great interview with NZ Skeptics spokesperson Mark Honeychurch, who says pretty much what I would have said about the "AI" spruiked by #MOLE Trainers.

@KingSara also, I was using #nzskeptics hashtag because it was the only one I could find, I couldn't find a suitable one for the NZARH and figured since I was complaining, you wouldn't mind too much :)
I really enjoyed the #nzskeptics conference but it was a bit disheartening to see, amid a bunch of talks and conversations about how to talk to people you disagree with - listen to them, try to understand - a bunch of attendees went on direct, rude, attacks against at least one of the people who spoke about stuff they didn't agree with.
Off to the #nzskeptics conference in Auckland, should be good!

Great to meet, after following him on various social for ages, and see @thoughtfulnz share his journey into public stats and social media analysing NZ COVID-19 response at:

@Josiah_Mannion Thanks to Mastodon I learnt about the #NZSkeptics conference while it was happening, and was glad to see that rather than trying to grapple with intersectional atheist ideas on my own, I can actually join a group of people who are exploring these issues together and platforming diverse voices. I was particularly pleased to see a Māori (indigenous) presentation comparing tikanga (traditional correct processes) with contemporary values and ethics. If only I knew!

It was great to hear @SiouxsieW 's talk' My journey into skepticism' online presentation to #nzskeptics yesterday. Was aware of some of the NZ portion but such an interesting life journey and glad it brought her here.
