NZ On Screen on Instagram: "Happy Anniversary Day, Wellingtonians 🥳
Take some inspiration for your day off from The Phoenix Foundation’s ‘40 Years’ music video. Filmed in Wellington’s breezy south coast, the video stars Taika Waititi (who also directs) sporting a fetching shell suit and headband, as this lo-fi masterpiece takes the “fun run” to a whole new level — complete with knights, prisoners, and a grand finale featuring true love...and a horse 🐎

How can we get NZonScreen.com to make their video collections discoverable in the fediverse, the same way the collections on PeerTube sites like VidCommons.org are?

In a Land of Plenty | Film | NZ On Screen
In a Land of Plenty - The tagline for this feature-length dictionary runs "The story of unemployment in New Zealand" and In A Land of Plenty is an exploration of just that; it takes as its starting point the consensus from The Depression onwards that Godzone economic policy should focus on achieving full employment, and explores how much this changed under the 1984 Labour government. Director Alister Barry's perspective is clear, as he trains a humanist lens on Rogernomics to argue for the policy's negative effects on society, "as a new poverty-stricken underclass developed".
