Hone Tuwhare - The late Hone Tūwhare (1922-2008) remains one of New Zealand's most loved and respected poets. Tūwhare has been the subject of numerous documentaries. He also wrote short stories and plays, and the drama Eel for anthology television series E Tipu e Rea. Tuwhare died on 16 January 2008 in Dunedin.

Director Alister Barry's perspective is clear, as he trains a humanist lens on Rogernomics to argue for the policy's negative effects on society, "as a new poverty-stricken underclass developed".
