The UK scene has been in shambles for years. When the World of Sport relaunch took place, Triple H quickly squashed that momentum by raiding that country's indies to form #NXTUK.
WOS relaunched 1 1/2 years behind schedule due to WWE's monopolistic behavior and hasn't had a follow-up season since as almost all of the people involved have moved on.
The much hyped "TNA beat WWE in the UK" spiel in the early '10s was due to Impact being on free TV and WWE on paid TV
