Oxytude – Accessibilité, informatique et nouvelles technologies

@BorrisInABox I've got to agree with this. If I may respectfully add to it, it's not so much that we can do these things, we've been able to for a while, it's that #NVDARC makes it easy and smooth. It just works without workarounds. You don't have to think, just hit the icon and start typing. Note also that, when I say we've been able to do it in the past, I mean with the keyboard. Touch stuff is simply a new thing, and a very impressive thing with the speed and the smoothness. It really is astonishing in how well it works and what you can accomplish.
I've pushed a couple of #NVDARC updates. The Mac build I sent for review yesterday adding a self hosting option for be controlled mode is now live, plus a few more improvements/fixes to said mode as well. On iOS, some improvements to custom shortcuts, Gesture presets and a bug where if you had sticky modifiers disabled and sent a letter from the type text keyboard with modifiers down would result in the modifiers not going back up is also fixed. https://testflight.apple.com/join/edg8YSeU

I just pushed an #NVDARC for iOS update. Here's what I've added this time: Adds a new feature I'm calling Gesture Presets. The idea is that you can set up your three finger swipe actions to send keys you want them to send, and then save them as a preset. Then, you can set up more keys, save that as another preset, etc. Then, a new picker item will appear in the connection window, where you can quickly switch between gesture presets on the fly. In addition to all of this, you can make different machines start with different gesture presets in the machine editor. Let me know what you think! https://testflight.apple.com/join/edg8YSeU

Oh, hey, cool. If you mute speech and are controlling your mac with #NVDARC, speech still goes through the remote connection.
I've just pushed a new build of #NVDARC for Mac which adds self hosting your own remote server when in be controlled mode, but since I had to add a new network connection entitlement, Apple has to review the build all over again. So be on the lookout for build 16!
@technocounselor It does charge via USB C, remember. Even if the battery gave you ten hours, the user would still probably benefit from an external battery. For blind people, I really don't see the point, though, given #NVDARC and the availability of network connections almost everywhere. Even if you don't use #NVDA, you can run #Jaws in a virtual machine and transport the sound. Latency would be higher, but weight would be far lower, and battery life might as well be unlimited.
I just pushed a small #NVDARC for Mac build out, featuring some small improvements to controlling a Mac via NVDA remote. Modifiers shouldn't get stuck as often anymore, as well as more keyboard shortcuts should be possible to press now, such as VO+Shift+letters. There's still more work to be done, as I can't press all VO+shift+letter combinations yet for some reason, but there's enough of an improvement here that I figured it worth updating.
I just pushed an iOS #NVDARC update adding configurable VoiceOver actions while controlling a machine. This includes things such as sending keys and custom shortcuts, as well as performing actions of the app like muting speech/releasing modifiers. @techsinger
Mac #NVDARC users. The build which allows you to put your mac in Be Controlled mode has been approved! Have fun! https://testflight.apple.com/join/edg8YSeU
