Louisiana’s Steve Scalise insults and dismisses the thousands of constituents who rallied today in defense of our constitutional democracy. I was one of them in New Orleans. We started by singing the national anthem and waving many U.S. flags. I met several passionate, freedom-loving people, and I saw many people with signs identifying themselves as veterans. Sorry you missed it, Steve. You might have learned something if you met with your constituents every now and then.

Join us to send a clear message — In America we don’t DO Kings. **How to participate** The Lafitte Greenway connects our communities from the Bayou to Downtown. Pick a spot along the Greenway closest to where you’re coming from. Get with your people, get in formation, bring your signs and your voice. Walk together down the trail and meet us on the “Great Lawn” to rally between N. Prieur and N. Galvez. Please keep in mind, this day is for ALL of us. Able-bodied folks, be willing to park farther down along on the Greenway to free up spots for elders and those with limited mobility. _A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action.
