A sobering assessment. Thanks to Gov Landry cancelling the Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion project and recent laws and court decisions letting the fossil fuel industry off the hook for the extensive environmental damages they caused, the Louisiana coast is rapidly failing with little funding to mount a significant defense.

The veterans demanded Speaker Mike #Johnson come meet them to accept the folded flag and pledge to not continue funding of the war. At least 60 were arrested while waiting for Johnson to meet their demands.

Got this political campaign postcard in the mail today. Is there anything to back up this claim of “the safest southern border in the history of our country”? I mean, what about when the United States Army invaded Mexico? Seems the border (as the U.S. redrew it) was pretty “safe” at that time.
